Abercrombie Sale + Petite Try Ons

abercrombie petite spring summer outfits sale

It’s been a few months since I blogged an Abercrombie try on! I wanted to round up a few noteworthy pieces from a modern denim jacket to an incredible pair of petite flowy pants. Their Kickoff to Summer sale just started today with 20% off almost everything, + extra 15% off select styles (ends this weekend).

1. Poplin maxi skirt (4 colors)

This is a classic, comfortable cotton poplin maxi skirt available in several bright colors and 3 lengths. The petite fits me well, hitting ankle length on me and works with flat shoes. There’s a coordinating puff sleeve top in the same fabric, but I like this skirt better on me with sleeker tops like this cropped camisole or any of my fitted Reformation tanks.

2. Square Neck Midi Dress (4 colors)

This dress is a seemingly simple piece, but once you try it on, the cut and fit really set it apart. The fitted ruched bodice provides shaping and hold, and the square neckline formed by the (adjustable) wider set straps is feminine and chic. The skirt has pockets and is gently flaring, not poofy. The fit is TTS and is very flattering on, with double layered fabric throughout for no sheerness.

3. Crinkle Pants (5 colors)

These flowy crinkle pants that were just restocked! I shared a few months back that these are one of my favorite pant finds, alongside the crepe ones below – super comfy and lightweight for wearing at home, yet dressy enough to go out. The xxs short works on me with low heels or platform sneakers.

Sarah on our team is 5’11” (usually 28 in denim) and got these in size Medium Tall to wear with low heels. She mentioned they’ve also been early bump friendly as well! Wash note: I usually spot clean these. Hand washing cold and hanging dry did result in some shrinkage, in particular in the lining. They loosen up again with wear, but are not quite as wide cut as pre-washing.

4. Crepe Pants + Cropped Denim Jacket

These crepe trousers were just restocked! They come in 5 colors, 3 inseams and drape like a dream. These have a faint crinkled texture to them and are more of a white than a cream (and not sheer). The waist runs a bit small, so I sized up to a 25 and they fit just right! A few other ways I’ve styled them: with a black halter top and in the grey with a mockneck top.

I needed to update my denim jacket from nearly a decade ago, and the slightly cropped, relaxed fit on this one instantly felt more modern and chic. The shorter waistline is key when paired with dresses and pants where you still want to show off some waist definition. The jacket arrived with the sleeves rolled up like this and I left it that way for the casual vibe. If your size is sold out, they also have a very similar cropped drapey denim jacket with better stock.

5. Workout Set

This active skort set (top + bottom) is super flattering and gets me excited for workouts and pickle ball. The skort has a soft shorts lining inside with a hidden functional pocket. In terms of sizing, I’m wearing an xs in both the top and skirt and my workouts are pretty light and casual. If you do higher intensity workouts, you could probably stay TTS for more compression.

6. ’90s Cutoff Shorts (2 washes)

I tried on a bunch of AF denim shorts this year liked the fit of their 90’s cutoff style the best. The 3.25″ inseam on these is a little more flattering on me than their current shorter “mom short” or longer “dad short.” I don’t like my denim shorts too fitted and am trying on a size 25 below:

7. Puff Sleeve Midi Dress (4 colors)

This is such a beautifully cut, bump-friendly dress with a vintage-inspired silhouette. I shared the mini version of this dress last summer (see on me) which has a more fun and playful vibe, while the longer midi length is more elegant and formal. Sizing is TTS and the petite fits me nicely as a tea length, almost maxi length dress. PS – love that almost all AF dresses, including this one, has pockets!

These are such great finds! A&F is really hitting it out of the park now that things aren’t geared only towards high-schoolers. I have a question though about the timing of your posts – how do you decide when to share these finds? Is it based on the brand? A sale? I wonder because I checked for the cute floral tea length dress (#7) a few hours after you posted and it’s fully sold out in the color you’re wearing already.

Hi Kit! I’m also pleasantly surprised as well at how much of a resurgence A&F has made in my own wardrobe since college. I know that sizes being sold out can be so frustrating : / This blog post was timed with a sale, but it’s a roundup of different photos that I’ve shared on LTK/ Instagram over the past two months and includes some older pieces.

I first posted the floral dress in April, so unfortunately it’s not well stocked now. However I *have* seen the color I’m wearing come back into stock so it’s worth checking back! You can also bookmark my LTK page (https://www.liketoknow.it/jeanwang) since I post on a more timely and frequent basis there. Hope that helps!
