The energy in the city is gradually starting to pick back up, and it’s inspired me to dress a little more put together than my usual loungewear of the past few months! I had my face mask off temporarily in this empty garden, but will actually keep it on for some pics in the future, in hopes of encouraging others to continue taking this easy preventative measure for public health.

- Lattice midi dress – I could not try this on due to not having a waistline right now, but it looks darling and right up my alley, from the feminine silhouette down to the textured clip dot pattern.

- Kaylin knotted suede wedges as pictured in this post. True to the reviews, these are flattering & very comfortable off the bat, and I strolled around Boston in them with no breaking in needed. I’m between 5 and 5.5 in most brands and can do either with Ann Taylor – I went up to a 5.5 here in case my feet expand due to the summer heat or pregnancy!
- Giuliana cork wedges. Similar to the Kaylin but in a very lightweight perforated cork material. Note these run more narrow across the front strap in cmoparison (a 5.5 was too narrow for me).
- Adley low sandals with a mini 0.5 inch gold heel, in neutral suede or cork with great reviews.
- Holland block heel sandals as pictured on me below. These have a comfortable fit around the caged straps with a stable heel. Comes in versatile gold, black, white, or a zesty yellow, all of which are easy to dress up or down.

This white flower full kirt is not maternity and doesn’t stretch at the waist, so I sized up to a 0 regular. It’s lightweight with a subtly textured dot-like floral pattern, and is fully lined with an invisible back zipper. 0 regular measures: 14″ across the waist, 21″ in length.
I also tried on this romantic ruffled flare dress but it’s on the dressier side and I don’t have many special occasion needs coming up. It is bump friendly due to the elasticized waistline (hidden by the removable sash belt here), at least for my second trimester belly after sizing up 1 from my usual. This dress has a sheer crinkle-textured overlay with a slip lining, and while the two pieces are separate-able, there are little snap buttons inside the outer dress to help hold the lining straps in place. XS petite measures: 13″ across the elastic waistband (stretches to ~17″ across), 39″ length.
