Classic Camel + Pine at Mistletoe Farms

Burberry coat sz 2 altered (on sale! my review), Modcloth skirt xxs

This outfit features some of the more versatile pieces in my closet, which I keep reaching for time and time again! I was just a tad excited to see Rory rock this same coat throughout the Gilmore Girls revival. I’ve been looking for similar alternatives to recommend, but per usual there’s a shortage of classic camel coats on the market. The closest thing I could find at a more affordable price point is this belted camel coat, which comes in petite sizing and has positive reviews.winter fashion outfit ideas extra petite blog
If you’re looking for a work-appropriate top that can easily be restyled for other occasions, I love this little sweater-shirt combo. It has a tweedy knit texture with some stretch, and I’m actually concealing one of the cutest features – a mock layered shirttail that peeks out at the bottom!

For professional wear, you can wear this top simply untucked over ankle pants or slacks, or tuck it into a pencil or A-line skirt. For dressier occasions, I’ve also worn it in this post with a fun fringe skirt for a holiday party (skirt is sold here and fits perfectly in xxs without alterations). Fit-wise, an XS is good on me everywhere except sleeve length, which I have folded under a bit here. The overall shirt length when un-tucked is surprisingly pretty good on me!

You’ve also seen this corduroy skirt on me a few different times now – first in this monochromatic lace pairing, then with a satiny blush top, and here with tights and a sweater. Which one was your favorite look?

We went artificial for our Christmas tree this year, but I still jumped at every opportunity to join friends on their tree hunts! There’s just something magical about the scent of fresh pine and the crisp winter air. These photos were taken at Mistletoe Acres Farm, a little family-run business where it’s clear they love what they do. The friendly grandpa decked out in farm gear went out of his way to strike up convo, offer us hot cocoa, and even compliment my hair : )
