On Nick – J.Crew Ludlow cut blazer (similar), 484 slim pants, oxford shirt, Tod’s loafers
Earlier this month I shared a sunset photoshoot (in this romantic lace dress) that Nick and I did in Ravello. Today’s post is the other half of our session taken in picturesque Positano! I wanted a piece with lots of movement, so chose this ethereal (non-maternity) maxi by Fame & Partners in a soft grey color. This dress is my first time trying the brand – I thought it was very nice quality and gorgeous for special events, or even as an elegant bridesmaid option!
I actually bought my dress in standard sizing at Shopbop (and altered it), but was pleasantly surprised to learn that it can be made to custom sizing & preferences on Fame & Partners’ own website. For the pleated Allegra dress I’m wearing, you can choose color, fabric, and other options (like closing the leg slit) along with your size and height. If you plan on wearing heels (these Yaro block heels I’m wearing are pretty comfy given the height!), I would factor that in when ordering. And according to their FAQ page, if you’re unhappy with fit, they will refund up to $50 to cover the cost of alterations by your local tailor (with a receipt).
Since this is not a maternity dress, I sized up and had my tailor shorten the shoulder straps. This alteration lifted the waistline up empire-style, so that it sit comfortably above the bump! I also had my tailor shorten the full skirt lining to above my knees, so that the bottom half would be extra flowy.
