If you’re new to Everlane, I’d start with their “authentic stretch” line of denim (my all-time favorite pair is listed below) and slouchier cut sweaters. For men, Nick highly recommends their performance chinos with in shorter inseams and merino wool hooded sweater (no itchiness) – more details on both pieces in his men’s gift guide! I also wanted to mention again that Everlane uses a convenient service called Happy returns, through which you can return items at a nearby returns bar for free, if you prefer that over shipping them back in the mail.

Everlane September blog post, with reviews of:
- Authentic stretch skinny jeans (my most worn jeans!) comparing the high rise vs. mid rise. Each wash feels a little different and I like “washed grey” best. These are a good thickness, a perfect high waisted fit on me (I did cut the hems for a shorter length), and they do not stretch out throughout the day.
- Texture cotton cable mockneck sweater – their thickest sweater! Features a semi slouchy, semi shrunken fit. Chunky cable knit along the sleeves, and a wide ribbed bottom and sleeve cuffs.
- Cotton mockneck crop sweater – lightweight, smooth finish sweater in a shrunken fit. This is a great petite-friendly layering basic for $50. Compared to the texture cotton cable sweater above, this one is thinner and fits a little smaller.
- Washable tie sleeve silk blouse – their most petite-friendly silk blouse, with bracelet length sleeves that hit right at my wrists. Material has a slightly sueded finish, isn’t sheer, and is a little thicker than their shinier silk.

- Recycled cashmere crewneck – beautiful waffle texture in a medium weight. Been wearing this on repeat and feel it gets softer with wear. See it also styled here as and here (picture #2) simply with their skinny jeans and a wrap coat.
- Cheeky straight jeans – relaxed straight cut with a fitted higher waist. Looks cute cuffed at the bottoms.
New review: The ReNew Heavyweight Bomber
I’m not much of a puffer person but tried this on per popular request! Compared to their other coats, this is a more petite-friendly, sustainable bomber jacket made entirely of recycled materials except for the trim. It truly is a heavy and warm winter-weight coat, and has a removable, adjustable-fit hood and hidden side entry hand warmer slot pockets (which I almost missed the first time I tried this on). While the sleeves worked well on me in an XXS, note that sleeve length and overall length tends to get longer on bigger sizes. One other comment is if you like to close the snaps on your jacket in addition to the zipper, I had to push in pretty hard to snap them (tho I’m known for having weak wrists lol).
New review: Cotton Link Stitch sweater (3 colors)
This 100% cotton sweater is a thicker weight (warmer than the other sweaters mentioned in this post, but not as thick as their cotton cable mockneck) but the material still drapes and is easy to half tuck in for a relaxed chic look. The cit is relaxed yet petite friendly with a slightly shorter length and sleeves. The link stitch texture and wide ribbed hems help elevate it a bit from a basic sweater!
Review: Side-zip cotton work pants
As mentioned in a previous post, these in brown houndstooth fit me surprisingly well, with my only complaint being the black exposed side zipper that you can see peeking out above. These are unlined, stretchy, slim fit, and nice and flat in the front with an elasticized waistband. The 00 fits my postpartum waist with no gap (so these fit smaller in the waist than most AT / LOFT / BR pants), but note the Ankle length is a full length on me hitting right below my ankles. I have them folded under 1″ for a shorter cropped look that works with ankle booties. The bottom hem has a wide banded structure, so the hems actually stay in place after I fold them up.
