London is so magical right now, fully decked out for the holidays. Nick has a few days off before starting a new job, so we’re taking full advantage of this time together. Unfortunately it’s not long enough to visit Japan, so that’ll have to remain on our wish list until (hopefully) next year!
I’ve always loved the look of plaid pants but wasn’t sure how versatile they’d be. This pair is on the darker side and almost looks solid dark navy at first glance, perfect if you want a subtle print (I lightened these photos just a bit to show the pattern). The colors are very easy to pair with black, navy, burgundy, or other neutrals like gray and camel. They are extra 50% off right now so a great price, plus are machine-washable!
Fit-wise, pants are so hard for me to find off the rack and almost always require some adjustments. These are slim and fitted on me throughout the legs, but there’s a waist gap of about 2 inches that I’ve tightened with a belt. I think my waist-to-hip ratio must not be standard, as there’s numerous great reviews on the fit of these pants from other shoppers. The petites length is good on me and hits right below the ankle, but I’m also trying out a more cropped look shown here with the bottoms folded under an inch.
My sweater (see it also worn here) is unfortunately nearly sold out, but here is a similar camel turtleneck option in stock with good reviews, at a steal for cashmere!
