Happy Monday! I photographed this look a few months ago, but have worn it several times since and was thrilled to see both pieces back in stock! Each of these pieces below can be paired numerous ways and are super affordable to boot.
1. Pebbled Tote
A piece that was incredibly popular with EP readers (see my review of this bag in pink) and sold out very quickly, now back in black and burgundy. I heard from so many of you who picked this up and agreed it’s a fab lightweight work tote on a budget ($35!!). It features a pebbled material, adjustable shoulder straps, gold zipper, and a roomy interior that looks petite-proportioned from the outside! The adjustable straps are nifty, since you may need to expand them in the winter to fit over the arms of thicker puffer coats.
2. Lace Camisole
See my review of the clipdot lace camisole, and also see it featured in my travel outfits styling video. The clipdot version is more summery, with an airy cotton-like feel with small embroidered dots and a lining, while the satiny version looks tres elegant and a little dressier for year round wear (will be getting myself the Terracotta color!). Both of these lace camis have adjustable shoulder straps, and can be styled ranging from dressed down with ripped jeans or elevated with a full skirt.
3. Pleated Skirt
This H&M pleated skirt is also back in the same champagne taupe – I shared about it two weeks ago on Instagram stories, and while that color is rapidly dwindling in stock again, the same skirt also comes in a new “rust brown” that’s actually a beautiful wine color (see photo on me below). This skirt has an elastic banded waist and runs a little small, with an XS being a snug fit at my natural waist. The weight of the fabric of this particular style is a little thicker (unlined) with a slight sheen to it, and is low maintenance and not wrinkle prone. Note this is a midi length skirt and will hit someone petite mid calf (I occasionally fold the waist up once then secure a wide belt over it).
Also on the topic of pleats and H&M, check out this beautiful textured dot maxi dress (fit photo on me) that I tried on featuring adjustable straps, a swishy full skirt, and adjustable shoulder straps. Bodice runs a little small and I could barely clasp up the sz 0 across my chest. And here is another pleated blue & white print dress in a midi length (full length on petites) that was recommended by several readers – check my IG stories today for a photo!
