Mini rays of sunshine

Earlier this month, before hunkering down at home, I spent some time with my good friend and Nori got to see one of her best buddies since birth. The kids had a blast running around in the nice weather – since then we’ve been keeping in touch via weekend Facetime chats over brunch and are very hopeful that sunnier days are ahead for all of us!

I picked out two looks for Nori – a floral one look that’s more playful and twirl-worthy, and another dress that’s a little more ladylike. At this age, she wants to wear and do everything mama does, so the sunglasses and sun hat were especially fun (if you’ve seen my IG stories, she insists on wearing these at home too…). The brand runs a little big, so while I typically size up for Nori in other brands, I order true to size here and she’s wearing 12-18m in everything – she’s 18 months old in these photos, for reference. As expected, both the kids’ clothes were covered in grass and dirt by the end of our outing but washed up easily in the machine!

Dot trim ponte dress (also in pink) – Simple but ladylike with small shoulder ruffles and matching bloomer shorts. Very cute with this slightly cropped rosette cardigan in the same robin’s egg blue color. The material of the dress is a medium to thicker weight stretch cotton blend ponte and is unlined.

Ruffle floral dress – Darling 100% cotton dress with a super swingy, full circle skirt and white bloomer shorts. The entire piece is lined in a layer of lightweight cotton as well. I paired this one with either the same blue rosette cardigan mentioned above or this white ruffle cardigan (see last photo below).

Nori was fascinated by all of the blooming flowers, so part of our daily routine at home now includes popping up to our roof deck and letting her “help” start our little potted garden for this year. We’re also trying to brainstorm fun Easter at home ideas (we’ve started early and have already been doing daily egg hunts as an activity).
