I’ve always appreciated a good peplum top (especially after enjoying lunch), and that appreciation has been taken to a new level while pregnant! This stretchy double-peplum top is non-maternity, which I’m trying to stick to when possible just so the pieces won’t gather dust post-partum. I’ll also be packing it with white shorts for an upcoming trip! The knit material has a slight crepe-like texture to it, and the shoulders have a small puff for just a touch of structure. I’m wearing sz XS here, so I’d say it’s cut roomily.
I’m partnering with Lord & Taylor as part of their #BestPricedSecret campaign again to share a very good sale going on this week (ending Friday / tomorrow). A lot of dresses are included in this event, just in time for graduation month and upcoming wedding season! Both my striped top (40% off) and fringe earrings are also included, and are marked down with no code needed.
I saw this crochet lace dress in person and thought it would be sweet for a graduation. Sizing up still did not fit my belly, so I’d say it runs true to size (best suited for those who are not expecting), and petite ladies might just need to shorten the crochet straps a bit. And if you’re looking for a special occasion dress that will easily accommodate a bump, this blush lace number I mentioned before looks very cute belted, and is now on crazy sale! Dress is cut generously in an A-line silhouette, and XS still has room to grow on me at the belly. The off-shoulder band is elasticized and the dress is fully lined.
I also tried on this floral bodycon dress which is MUCH more curve-hugging. Sizing is juniors so runs smaller (and narrower across the shoulder elastic), so an XS should be very fitted on those who are my pre-pregnancy size. Size S is snug throughout on me at 5 months pregnant, but the (unlined) fabric is stretchy so it did accommodate my bump without being too restricting.
WAYF lace dress XS: 17″ across shoulders when un-stretched, 17″ across underarms, 19″ across hem.
Design lab dress S: 16″ across shoulders when un-stretched, 14.5″ across underarms, 13″ across waist.
On a side note, I switch up my foundation every so often but was so sad to see my holy grail foundation (Laura Mercier Flawless Fluide) discontinued! I’m using their latest Flawless Fusion which is formulated to be more long-lasting and more sweat/humidity-resistant. If there’s any other former Flawless Fluide fans out there, I’d love to hear what foundations you also like that are similar!
Thank you to Lord & Taylor for partnering on this post.
