Happy Wednesday! For today’s post I’m trying on a few items that caught my eye from Ann Taylor’s new summer arrivals. I also wanted to show how they can mix and match for outfits to go from work to weekend by just changing out the top. You can see these outfits in motion in my IG Reel.
Polka Dot Slip Skirt
I love how this falls and drapes against the figure! It also pairs great with the refined mock neck cap sleeve top I love for an easy work-appropriate outfit.
The midi length and slip style is elegant, and the dots add some youthfulness. Material is a medium weight woven fabric and fully lined in a smoother fabric. Fits as expected for Ann Taylor, which means it runs bigger than brands like A&F. The stretchy waistband is pull-on style and measures 13″ across the waist for xxs petite.
Petite Culotte Pants (3 colors)
For everyday wear, I’m a big fan of their popular Kate pant which comes in tons of colors and is a true straight cut pant and ankle length on me (see it on me). In comparison, these petite culottes fit a little more cropped in length and bigger at the waist (loose on me). The linen blend fabric does crease around the hips and thigh, which I think would be concealed more in their darker color options. 00 petite measures: 13.4″ across the waist, 11″ rise, 21″ inseam.
I haven’t been big on prints lately, but thought this blouse was light and breezy for hot summer days and very cute with the neckline and flutter sleeves! The length and slight A line cut of this top also works well untucked, with slim ankle pants or jeans.
Linen Blend Wrap Skirt
I didn’t keep this skirt, but I did find it to be very cute and wanted to show two ways I’d pair it. I love it with this square neck tank and also think it’d be chic with a black crop top for summer weekends. Looking inside my existing closet, I’d pair it with this neutral shell for weekends (see above) or a simple solid tee or sweater for work. The 00 petite measures 13″ across the waist with a zipper back closure, and a half-wrap style that ties in the front.
