The Weekend Sales: Skincare, Denim, Petite Workwear

Happy Fourth! We’re spending the holiday at my parents’ in upstate New York, where the two kiddos are having a spree roaming free around the yard and meeting their Gong Gong and Po Po’s labradoodle puppy. As much as we love being in the city, seeing them so carefree like this definitely have us wondering about life in the burbs, just a bit!

If you’re shopping this weekend, I wanted to share a few sale picks that I either own, ordered, or have checked out in person!

Levi’s

• My wedgie icon jeans that I own in two colors are at an insane price! They used to almost never go on sale back when I bought them. I have “shut up” which is a super versatile medium blue and “better weatherhead” (pictured above). I’ve been reaching for these so often and can’t believe what an amazing deal this is.
• See my fit notes here and some of the ways I’ve styled them here. If you’re not familiar with Levi Wedgies, they’re made of a non-stretch, vintage-inspired denim material with a button fly. Personally, I wouldn’t size up at the waist because they break in a bit with wear. The length as-is is long on me, so I either cut or cuff the hems to be ankle length.

H&M

• Just picked up this neutral woven tote with plenty of room for my laptop
• Everyday denim shorts – H&M denim shorts always run pretty small IMO. A sz 4 in their denim shorts usually fits like a relaxed 0 / 24 in other brands for me.
• (see below) Flattering fluid straight legged pants that can go from casual to business casual. Elastic waist with a cropped length that is full length on petites. I’d wear skin toned undies with the lighter colors.
• Another nice summer pant option with a tapered fit. Loved how light and drapey this is but needs hemming to be the right cropped length on petites.
• Off shoulder gingham top (also in white) is a fun summer piece that’s stretchy all around and nursing friendly. 100% cotton, medium weight. Sleeves are almost long on me though you can scrunch them up a bit by the elbows. Wear with a bandeau bra or go braless thanks to the camouflaging gingham print.
• Under $20 simple, timeless black maxi dress with detachable spaghetti straps
• Petite friendly smocked black top to pair with jeans and shorts
