Last weekend I shared a peek of this look in my newsletter, and have already heard from a few of you who picked up the dress and love it! It’s also available in a beautiful rust color here, and I absolutely love the feature on their site where you can filter customer reviews / photos by height and size!
The fit of this dress is very petite friendly with a mini length, and the material is a thick stretchy ribbed knit. The wrap style top is nursing friendly and can be worn on or off the shoulders. For those who are expecting, I tried this on with a pillow stuffed underneath and the ribbing makes it early bump friendly, but note the length will be pretty short. This is a dress that can be worn across at least three seasons, but for winter I wanted to show it casually below with my go-to combat boots, a short puffer jacket and cozy fleece lined tights!
I’ll show more practical looks with these Stuart Weitzman booties later under pants and jeans, but let me just say I’m stoked to finally find “sock” style ankle boots. This was a major void in my closet for wearing tucked in under straight cut bottoms without an awkward junction between the pant hem and the top of the boots. Love everything about these from the wearable heel to flattering toe shape and how the stretch suede shaft isn’t too loose around my more narrow ankles. I’m usually between size 5 and 5.5 and got the size 5, however after trying them on some more I would say the fit runs narrow in the toe area – in retrospect I should’ve gone with the 5.5.
I love the Sam Edelman Garret Boot you’ve been posting about. I’m so sad they’re out of size 5. How snug is the fit for you? Does your ankle go up a little in the boot? I got a 5.5, and I’m wavering on whether it fits or not. The top part of the boot seems fine, but my ankle goes up a little when I walk. I’d really appreciate and be grateful for a response! Thanks.
Oh my god that sock boot look! Chain necklace, headband, off the shoulder dress, everything! Does the dress show undie lines easily? Hope you’re warm and enjoying these snow days!!
You are too kind, thank you for your note! The dress is a pretty thick material so doesn’t seem to show any lines.
Do you have a tutorial for how to tie the bow on your belt?
Hi Diana, I do! It’s saved under my “how to” highlight on Instagram
