This installment of outfit ideas features soft summer whites, and some layering options for those in AC-blasting offices!
1. Striped Blouse + Cream Pants
I’ve been waiting months for this Sézane Chlo blouse to be restocked in blue stripes, and it’s beyond lovely in person! Stripes are a classic, and the eyelet lace detail + very subtle puffed sleeves add a unique element. Size 0 fits me and is a slimmer cut in the torso, not oversized. For their Chlo blouses, make sure to click into the “details & composition” for each color since some are organic cotton and some are silk.
2. Wide Leg Cropped Pants + Cardigan Jacket
My favorite cardigan jacket now comes in several new colors, including solid camel! See my review of the sweater here and also see it on me in solid black. You can also find my review of these Ann Taylor Kate pants compared to the J.Crew Sydney (both awesome petite friendly options!).
3. White Knit Skirt + Blue Blouse
An oxford blue blouse is amongst my year-round capsule wardrobe, and while mine is old from Vici brand, I found a few options depending on the cut you’re looking for:
- Nordstrom blouse – runs big but cute in a lightweight drape fabric. See on me.
- Everlane shirt is a classic fit, lightweight button-up shirt
- Sézane top in solid oxford blue. Love the quality and fit of these shirts!
4. Sweater Knit Top + Drape Trousers
These remain one of the best pants I’ve found all year, just note they’re a little longer than some other AF pants I’ve tried or reviewed and I still need to wear the Short length with heels (I’m 5′ tall). While I usually balance wider bottoms with a fitted top, I like the change-up with this looser fit top that starts wider at the top but can be tucked in to maintain a visual waistline.
5. Straight Leg Jeans + Crepe Blazer
This blazer (runs big) has made several appearances this year, since the crepe material is a versatile one that can go from denim to suiting. These are the Levi jeans that I reviewed in more depth in this Anniversary Sale blog post. I have them folded shorter here, and can’t decide whether to cut them for a frayed edge or to hem them properly!
6. White Patterned Slip Skirt + Neutral Top
I shared this look in a previous IG Reel and wanted to share it again, as this skirt is a great summer wardrobe addition. It’s a comfortable pull-on style that can be paired with similar neutrals like black or white, or with a pop of color. You can also see how I styled it for after-work drinks or date night in this post.
I have to admit, I never liked those 7/8 trousers – but the more I enjoy your second outfit (on the top).
It looks very leger, light and elegant the same time!
Good choice and combination!
