Ann Taylor Summer Sale Try-Ons

Petite double breasted blazer dress summer workwear

I hope some of you were able to catch this dress on my LTK when it was fully stocked! If you don’t yet follow me on my LTK account, I’ve been posting daily on there, in particular when I come across a good find or time-sensitive sale. I wanted to share a few other try-ons here, just note that Ann Taylor sizing runs big, and feels at least one size bigger than brands like A&F.

Today I happen to be wearing this dotted slip skirt with elastic waist, a piece from my previous posts that is still fully stocked and on sale. See my review here. Wearing it dressed down today with this adjustable linen top and braided sandals (my inexpensive, “beat around” flats that I walk miles in)!

1. Double Breasted Dress

This is my favorite find in recent arrivals and it got several compliments the first time I wore it! The fabric feels elevated and is a smooth double weave fabric with just a little bit of stretch and full lining. Since AT sizing runs big, it’s not fitted on me and just skims the figure. My hips are on the narrow side, but if you have curvier hips, I did see one reviewer mention the bottom was snug. Xxs Petite measures: 15.5″ across bust, 14″ across waist, 15.5″ across the hips.

2. Flattering Wide Leg Crop Pants

I’ve shared these pants before as one of AT’s highest rated pants, and have gotten great feedback from you guys as well! The length is good on me with flats, and if you’re nervous about wide leg pants being overwhelming, these are more of a straight cut and not very wide.

You can also see them in white and read my review and comparison with J.Crew’s Sydney pants. The Kate in 00 petite are a little loose on me and measure: 13” across the waist, 10.25” rise and 23” inseam.

3. Tapered Belted Pants

These are the same nice quality fabric as the double-breasted dress above, and the color is an elegant cream with matching sweater shell. The fabric has a good weight to it, is smooth to the touch and is not thin. Like most AT pants, these run big and the fit of the 00 petite is loose on me from the waist through the legs. The included belt helps, since you can tighten it to cinch in the waist a bit. Size 00 petite measures: 13.25″ across the waist, 11.5″ rise, 24.25″ inseam.

I tried them with this flutter sleeve blouse, which is very lightweight and breathable for hot weather.

4. Sweater shell

I have an old AT ruffle sweater shell from 6+ years ago that’s still going strong in my closet. Was so excited to see this one, with a more subtle shoulder ruffle in a versatile soft cream color. These are the best for when you want something a little more elevated than a regular tank. They’re gently fitted (aka no clinging to lumps and bumps) and have a substantial weight to the fabric.

5. Puff Sleeved Shirt Dress

Also comes in white linen. This dress is fully lined and the sleeves have a gentle puff to them for a feminine twist. I found the hips to be cut a tad on the narrow side, so the skirt is not very flowy until you get below the hips. The entire dress, including the lining, is 100 percent cotton. 00P measures: 17.5″ across bust, 13″ across waist. 16.25″ across hips.

    Hey Jean!

I’ve read that tights are making a comeback this year, and I need to wear them for work all year… I know I’m jumping the gun (since it’s only Summer right now!), but will you be doing any tights/pantyhose content this Fall or Winter? Really need some new ideas! Thanks for all the great content!

Sorry I don’t really wear tights anymore! I would def suggest checking Pinterest for ideas though if you search for tights by color.

Sad to hear because you’ve had awesome tights posts for years that my coworkers and I always loved, but I understand! Keep up the awesome work!
