Becca was one of the earliest swimsuit brands I’ve reviewed on this blog, and now after 2 kids I’m even more appreciative of how flattering their designs are! Their one pieces are usually cut in such a way that have coverage in the areas where I want it, while still being interesting and non-matronly. I’ve purchased both my Becca suits from Nordstrom, where they occasionally run sales on certain styles.
I also need to mention these SE slide sandals that I bought over a year ago since they go with everything and have held up so well, through countless wears at splash pads and damp pool and beach wear. I’m sure they’re not meant to be wet condition shoes, but the patent leather has been wonderfully low maintenance! Thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
Becca One Piece Swimsuit
I always look for adjustable features like the sliding shoulder straps and the tie back on this swimsuit. The inner band for the lower bust shelf bra hits a little high on my 5′ tall frame, but it’s still comfortable and the adjustable strap elements make the overall fit pretty good. There’s decent rear coverage, and the lace cutouts are strategically placed to create the illusion of a flattering, nipped in waistline.
Crinkle Short + Shirts Set
This lightweight 2 piece (sold as separates) is breezy for casual summer days, and also works as a swim cover-up that’s easy to pull on and wear open. The top is a shorter length than the average shirt, which I like since I can wear it either untucked or just partially tucked, shown below. It’s looked cute so far with sandals and sneakers alike!

San Diego Hat Co. Sun Hat
I’ve had this hat for a couple of years now and love how chic and practical it is. It has UPF 50 protection, there’s an inner drawstring making the fit adjustable, and the best part is ribbon sash can easily be swapped out for different colors. See my original review here of this same hat with a pink ribbon.
This brand is general is great quality for the price, and I now have several hats from them over the years. Heads up, the current price at Nordstrom for some reason is higher than other retailers, so I’d recommend getting a price match!
This hat clip is also something I’ve had for a few years and find so useful for toting around my hats! The magnet is strong enough to hold 2-3 hats for me at a time.
