Happy Monday! This edition of work outfit ideas features a new-to-me affordable brand that turned out to be very petite friendly (Tuesday), a quality Sezane find (Monday), and a $25 Amazon sweater that’s still a favorite after many years (Thursday)!
I know many of you have ditched the heels, so wanted to mention that both ankle pant outfits below work well with my favorite loafers (I have both Black and Classic Nude), and for the trouser pant outfits you can sub in block heeled ankle booties. To see these outfits in motion, check out my Instagram video.
Dolman Sweater + White Trousers
One of my best Amazon buys from nearly 3 years ago still going strong – see my original review here with better photos of the fit. I just ordered it recently for a friend and can confirm it’s still the same. It’s “one size” with pretty long sleeves, but I cuff them up and am a fan of the oversized dolman fit. I’ve worn this a ton of different ways (i.e for work, for lounging), and love it dressed up with a trouser!
Striped Sweater + Camel Pants
When in doubt, camel with stripes is a no-fail combo for me! This is the sweater I mentioned in my Sezane reviews but didn’t have a photo of at that time. The composition is wool and organic cotton, but it doesn’t have the itch factor that many of their alpaca or mohair blend knits do. The knit feels high quality and is a little thicker in weight than the Leontine sweater many of us love. When untucked, it hits at my hips and isn’t too long on petites. The Leontine sweater is still my pick for year round wear due to the more casual feel and medium weight.
For a similar pant option that doesn’t require hemming on me, my pick would be these J.Crew pants (run small) that are very petite friendly. The Cameron come in a regular rise (mid high) and a high rise option.
Crop Cardigan + Navy Ankle Pants
Cardigan + ankle pants = trusty and practical, especially if you swap in the aforementioned flat loafers. I like the addition of a printed element (in this case, my purse) to break up the blocks of solid colors. If you missed my mini review of these classic and comfy pull-on pants from Theory outlet, click here to read.
Denim, Blazer + Loafers
This blazer is one of my favorite pieces from Ann Taylor this year, and also comes in black. The clean, collarless cut combined with the high quality “fluid crepe” fabric makes this feel akin to my Theory pieces. It has several coordinating separates (skirt, pants, dress) – I’ll be showing the matching Crepe Trouser Pant soon, but I did find it to run big and need waist alterations.
Textured Top + Boot Cut Pants
This top and pants are both from Love, Bonito, a Singapore brand that I’ve been eying for a while now! I finally placed an order and am very happy with the keepers, and will write a more detailed review after seeing how my return experience goes (some items were too small – my fault for not checking measurements). Amongst my keepers, this tweed bustier top was even cuter than expected, and the pants are so elongating and lightweight in feel. Both pieces feel like a great value for the prices, even with shipping. See some of my other keepers here.
I like how this brand lists detailed measurements for EVERY single item in both cm and inches, and the measurements are pretty accurate for the items I ordered. Heads up, though, if you need to return anything it’s for store credit only and you need to pay $8 for return shipping.

Hi, I left you an IG msg – love your recommendations for petite pants and was wondering if you have any recommendations for low waist short denim shorts? I used to buy from abercrombie/hollister but they’ve since stopped doing low waist denim short shorts.
Hi Daphne, I’m afraid I haven’t worn low rise bottoms in a few years so don’t have any recommendations to share
Hi Jean – are the Sezane earrings comfortable to wear? Not too heavy? They look great on you.
Thanks Dahlia! They are super comfy and lightweight, I was so pleasantly surprised by them
How is the sezane sweater tucked? It looks so seamless!
It’s tucked up into my bra band!
